The Trinity Trust Hosts Art Gallery Meeting

The Trinity Trust Foundation hosted a “meet and greet” with the art gallery owners and staff in the Oak Lawn/Design District neighborhood to get them excited about the Trinity project. More than 50 attended on August 6.

Gail Thomas, Ph.D., president and CEO of The Trinity Trust Foundation, spoke to the group. “The art community is so important to the heart of our city, and we are glad that many of you have discovered the area near the Trinity River for your galleries. We hope that you’ll be excited about what we are doing and let your clients and visitors know about us.”

Dr. Thomas also invited them to come back to see The Trinity Model, courtesy of ALON USA, a 20-foot long model of the Trinity River Corridor Project, on September 10, 2008.

The public is also invited to see the detailed model that depicts major components inside and outside the levees including replicas of the Calatrava signature bridges—Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and Margaret McDermott Bridge—two urban lakes, island, ball fields, and white water course, gateway parks such as Moore Park Gateway, residences and businesses along and around the Trinity River.
